Need

Every year, EIT InnoEnergy organises The Business Booster (TBB) event to help foster new business opportunities and investments in innovations that will speed up the energy transition. TBB brings together some of Europe’s most promising sustainable energy startups as well as industry, investors and policy makers in the energy ecosystem. In order to ensure consistent growth and impact, EIT InnoEnergy needed to gain a deeper understanding of the participants attending the event and integrate those insights with their HubSpot CRM.

Approach

We performed a thorough analysis of the event’s participation, exploring demographics, firmographics, topics of interest, purchase patterns, event engagement, channels, and persona segmentation. The insights derived from this analysis were seamlessly integrated into EIT InnoEnergy’s HubSpot CRM, leading to the creation of automated workflows that simplified the tasks of the marketing and sales teams and enhanced the customer journey for future events. Furthermore, we delivered strategic guidance and recommendations leveraging these insights.

Results

EIT InnoEnergy has gained valuable insights into the profiles and preferences of its event audiences, along with strategic guidance for enhancing future marketing efforts. Through careful structuring of data and the automation of key processes in the HubSpot platform, we have enabled the marketing and sales team to deliver personalised communications and optimise the customer journey for upcoming events. Furthermore, we have presented a range of actionable steps and content suggestions to drive effective marketing campaigns across various channels for future TBB events.
